How Do I Join Mensa? To become a member of Mensa, you must demonstrate to us that you have an IQ higher than that of 98% of the world's population. There are two ways to join: pass our entrance examination, or submit evidence of prior qualification. Lapsed members click here. The Mensa Supervised Entrance Examination: For candidates without prior evidence of their eligibility we offer a supervised qualifying test for a fee of $90. Group testing sessions are held regularly in every major city across Canada. You will be invited to join Mensa when you qualify. The test can be given to anyone aged 14 or older.

If you have already written a qualifying IQ test, you may be eligible for membership in Mensa Canada without having to write our entrance examination. Just follow these steps:
Note: If the test was given by an individual psychologist, it must include the full name of the test, the score and percentile rank. This documentation must be on institution / agency / clinic letterhead and signed by the psychologist responsible for the testing, along with the psychologist's license / certification number issued by the province / state in which the psychologist practices. Note: The name on the documentation must match the name on the application. If it is different for some reason, documentation must be included. For example, a notarized copy of a social insurance card, marriage license or court records to show a new married name. Put your official test results, and the $25 evaluation fee (cheque or money order) into an envelope, along with your current mailing address, and send it to: Mensa Canada Once the verification is complete, you will be invited to join our society, and the first year's membership dues will be payable at that time. |
